WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF PORCELAIN LAMINATE APPLICATIONS OVER CLASSIC PORCELAIN CROWNS?

○ In porcelain laminate applications, only a small amount of the enamel tissue is abraded without removing the entire tissue as in classical porcelain crown applications.

○ Nowadays, porcelain laminates can be applied to the upper jaw teeth without any cutting.

○ The treatment period is very short. If the patient does not have gums or teeth that require root canal treatment, porcelain laminates can be applied within 5-6 days.

TO WHOM IS PORCELAIN LAMINATE APPLIED?

○Porcelain laminates can be applied to people who are not satisfied with the shape, color and position of their teeth.

○It can be applied to people with advanced tooth discoloration in the front region (Tetracycline discoloration, etc.).

○ It can be applied to people with gaps in their teeth.

○ It can be applied to people who have large and discolored fillings in their front teeth.

○ It can be applied to people whose front teeth are broken or worn.

○ It can be applied to people who do not have missing teeth and who have not had porcelain crowns before.

○ Porcelain laminates should be applied to people with good gum health or to people with unhealthy gums after their gum health has been restored.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY PORCELAIN LAMINATES?

Porcelain laminate applications can be done within 5-6 days in mouths that do not require gum or root canal treatment.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AFTER THE APPLICATION OF PORCELAIN LAMINATES?

○ Oral care recommendations for porcelain veneers are the same as for natural teeth. Effective tooth brushing should be done twice a day.

○ Dental flossing should be done once a day.

○ The fine interdental brush should be applied once a day.

○ Eating nuts with shells should be avoided.

IS THERE A RISK OF PORCELAIN LAMINATES FALLING OR BREAKING?

Porcelain laminates are long-lasting thanks to today's adhesives. If a small break occurs on the porcelain laminate, it can be repaired with composite fillings inside the mouth without the need for removal.

DO PORCELAIN LAMINATES TURN YELLOW?

Porcelain laminates do not stain due to their structure. Unless there is excessive use of tea, coffee or cigarettes, porcelain laminates do not turn yellow with good oral care.

WHAT IS PORCELAIN LAMINATE?

Porcelain laminates are porcelain sheets (0.3-0.7 mm) that are bonded to the front surfaces of the teeth. The shape, color and position of the teeth can be corrected thanks to the laminates that imitate natural teeth with their light permeability.
