Reasons why teeth may appear small include the teeth themselves being inherently small or the gums covering the teeth too much.
WHAT ARE THE TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR SMALL OR SHORT TEETH?
If the reason teeth appear small is due to their inherently small size, their length can be increased using " bonding " techniques or porcelain veneers.
If the reason teeth appear small is that the gums cover them too much, the size of the teeth can be increased with laser gum reshaping (pink aesthetics) .
WHAT ARE THE AESTHETIC EFFECTS OF TEETH LENGTHENING?
If the four front incisors are the same length, it indicates that the patient's teeth are worn down. Lengthening the two front incisors in particular is an important factor in creating an aesthetically pleasing smile.
